Due to your high level of education in this content area and the excellent story you wrote for your editor (in unit 2), you have been asked to put together a community presentation for the local university regarding the role of assessment and institutional effectiveness. For this assignment, you will be preparing a PowerPoint presentation under the assumption that you were preparing to hold a community forum in a local town which was contiguous to a prominent, state university. In this community presentation, you were to make the academic argument for describing the degree to which mission impacts an institution.
For this assignment, you are to put together a PowerPoint presentation as if it is going to be presented to a state college. You are to address the role of mission as a driving force in the planning process and the role of assessment in shaping the planning process for institutions of higher education.
Your PowerPoint presentation should include the following and completely answer all of the questions for each bullet point. Use clear headings that allow your professor to know which bullet you are addressing on the slides in your presentation. Support your content with at least three (3) citations throughout your presentation. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the presentation. Include a reference slide at the end. Follow best practices for PowerPoint and Prezi presentations related to test size, color, images, effects, wordiness, and multimedia enhancements.
