Your healthcare facility has a budget of $50,000 for upgrading or purchasing new technology. You have been put in charge of evaluating the existing technologies and proposing recommendations for upgrading or buying new technologies.

Based on the problem(s) you identified in Week 1 and the $50,000 budget, make and justify your IT software, hardware, and infrastructural solution recommendations. Provide the technical details for the existing systems that will be impacted and the specifications of any upgrades you propose.

The solution proposal should include the following information:
• A detailed description of the current IT hardware, software, and infrastructure related to your chosen problem(s)
• A detailed description of how your healthcare facility’s goal of providing the best healthcare is impacted by your chosen problem(s)
• A rationale for why the existing system is currently being used in your healthcare facility as it is
• Your rationale for why your solution should be implemented and how your solution could address the problem(s) and further your facility’s goal of providing the best healthcare
• An explanation of how your solution will integrate with or replace current IT applications
• A detailed description of the technical details (hardware, software, and infrastructure) of your solution

Note: Suppose that the solution to the clinical problem is a medication reconciliation software application. In that case, you need to describe the hardware and software components required to upgrade the system.
