Describe and provide an example of one of the “isms” discussed in the chapter reading
<
Specifically, Absurdism, Dadaism, Existentialism, Expressionism, Naturalism, or Realism
<
First, read about Absurdism, Dadaism, Existentialism, Expressionism, Naturalism, and Realism to understand the terms associated with a theatrical context. Also, note the playwrights related to a particular “ism.” For example, Sartre, the author of No Exit, was associated with Existentialism.
<
<
With this research, find a short digitized clip representing your “ism.” It can be a contemporary or historical version of one of the playwright’s works. Try to keep the examples short, at most 3 minutes. Then, identify what we should watch if taking a clip from a longer video. You should identify the video source, the playwright, the play, or the content provider. Also, contextualize why this author represents the “ism” associated with the video or clip.
<
<
Remember, your short post should include a contextualization of the “ism” ( Absurdism, Dadaism, Existentialism, Expressionism, Naturalism, and Realism) represented. Whoever reads your post should understand why you chose the video and which “ism” is defined.
