Task description
This task requires you to create an engaging and informative poster which evaluates the effectiveness of your Oral Health Promotion (OHP) Project. You will demonstrate the significance of why an evaluation phase is critical to any OHP activity.
This assessment will be based on your OHP Project from Assessment Item 1, including the completed surveys returned to you after your presentations. You will need to analyse these surveys and compare the results from pre to post-presentation, to determine if your intervention has had the desired impact on your community.
You are encouraged to be creative with the presentation of your poster, as this demonstrates professionalism in your presentation and can be made visually appealing/relevant to your community, stakeholders, and the broader profession.
You will need to include:
- Background: Provide an overview of your OHP project target group, aim, and objectives. This section will incorporate a concise but detailed description of your project’s relevance to the target group, justifying why this was conducted.
- Evaluation: Conduct a process and impact evaluation for your project using data such as your pre and post-presentation surveys, and any other relevant measures specified in your OHP Plan from Assessment Item 1. Additionally, you will briefly explain how the outcome evaluation is planned to be conducted. Provide a balanced analysis of the results, acknowledging both successes and areas for improvement. It is highly encouraged to utilise graphs and tables to support your concisely written findings.
- Recommendations: Critically analyze the findings of your evaluation in alignment with existing evidence-based sources to create 5 recommendations for similar OHP interventions conducted in the future.
