DIRECTIONS FROM SYLLABUS:
The purpose of the analysis paper is to look back on the semester, the community project or the policy analysis project, and your commitment and focus in social work. The paper should include information about what you learned from the assignment, group work, communication and macro practice as it applies to working with the chosen organization. You should also reflect on what micro, mezzo, and macro skills you applied to the project throughout the semester, how you can improve on those skills and explain how the community benefitted from your efforts. Lastly, you should include feedback about what was useful about assignment and what you would change.
The following could be used as headings (and possibly subheadings):
· A description of the social service project (overall organizational goals & specific committee goals)
o How were these goals met via the objectives and tasks (describe this process)
· Incorporate lecture notes into paper (i.e. organizational theory that is applicable…this can be more than one…REFERENCE PPT NOTES APA STYLE)
· Describe the Micro, mezzo, and macro skills applied when servicing this population (this could include brokering of services, and contacts with outside agencies on behalf of our macro client system (REFERENCE PPT NOTES)
· Personal Issues…GLOWS & GROWS
o What skills did you excel at, what skills do you need to work on

This paper should be 5-7 pages in length…that does NOT mean 4.25, 4.5, or 4.75 pages in length.
