First, introduce yourself to the class. Include your major and anything you would like to share about yourself. Then address the prompt below. (I WILL DO THIS SO DONT WORRY ABOUT IT)

Evidence-based practice has become the known foundation for clinical practice decision making within the nursing profession. However, various ways of knowing such as history, theory, and research are all important within the nursing practice discipline.

In this post provide a short introduction of yourself to your peers and instructor. Then, continue your initial post by responding to the following:

1. Describe the value of evidence-based nursing practice.
2. Explore how nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice is influenced by history, theory, and research.
3. Describe barriers to implementing evidence-based practice.

Required Resources:

Textbook: Essentials of Nursing Research: Appraising Evidence for Nursing Practice, Chapters 1, 2, and 18
Chapter 1 introduces the history of nursing research, the purpose of nursing research, and the fundamentals of evidence-based nursing practice.

Chapter 2 focuses on key concepts and the steps in the research process. Together, Chapters 1 and 2 form the foundation for evidence-based nursing practice and discuss the evolution to current nursing practice.

Chapter 18 describes the steps of evidence-based practice and identifies strategies to improve patient care.

Consider content from other parts of the course where appropriate. Use proper citation methods for your discipline when referencing scholarly or popular sources.

NEEDED BY THURSDAY MORNING PLEASE ALSO MAKE SURE TO DO EVERY PART OF THE DISCUSSION BESIDES THE INTRODUCING. I WILL DO THAT.
