3. Adam, a 7-year-old boy with autism, is about to start at a new school (PPKI/Integration program). He often has trouble adjusting to new routines, environments, and people, which leads to heightened anxiety. Additionally, Adam struggles with transitions between different activities throughout the day. As his teacher, using the TEACCH approach, you are tasked with illustrating a 5-day visual schedule to help Adam better familiarize himself with the school routine. This schedule will serve as a reference for him, supporting his ability to adjust to the school environment. Alongside the daily schedule, it would be helpful to introduce Adam to key aspects of the school, such as the layout, his teachers, and a peer buddy, to help him feel more prepared before the school year begins.
