Interdisciplinary Research Question Assignment Instructions
Overview
You will write your Interdisciplinary Research Question for approval and provide an explanation of why you selected this question. Your Interdisciplinary Research Question should be complex in that it requires insights from two disciplines (these should be your two Areas of Study) and researchable in an interdisciplinary sense (authors from your two Areas of Study who have written on the topic or at least on some aspect of it). Your textbook readings will provide you with some examples of research questions that relate directly to an interdisciplinary approach.
Instructions
Develop an Interdisciplinary Research Question that incorporates both of your Areas of Study. Your question should also be researchable in an interdisciplinary sense, substantiated by research conducted by academic experts in each Area of Study.
Use the formatting style of your primary Area of Study (APA, MLA, AMA, Turabian).
Paper will be 3-4 pages in length, including a Reference page.
Organize your Research Question using the following headings:
1) State your research question. Discuss the importance of this topic.
2) List your two Areas of Study. Project Management & Linguistics
3) Using the Repko & Szostak textbook, discuss why an interdisciplinary approach is needed.
4) Discuss why disciplinary insights from your two Areas of Study are needed.
5) What biblical perspectives are related to your research question? Include relevant verses.
6) Discuss time needed for your research, library or other research locations used, associated costs or other practical considerations for a research paper.
7) Include a list of six (6) peer reviewed, scholarly articles (less than 10 years old) found using the Jerry Falwell Library that are related to your topic.
a. Three (3) articles from your primary Area of Study (attached) project management
b. Three (3) articles from your secondary Area of Study (attached) linguistics
