- Read Chap 4, “Belonging” in the book Unleashed: The Unapologetic Leader’s Guide to Empowering Everyone Around You
- Read the articles entitled:
- The Value of belonging at Work
- No Employee Left Behind: Creating a Sense of Belonging at Work
- Motivating People Starts with Building Emotional Connections
- Fostering a Culture of Belonging in the Hybrid Workplace
- REPORT: Beyond Diversity: Transform your company into a community of Dignity, Diversity, & Belonging
Discussion Assignment: Discuss the articles that are listed above.Discussions shall include (1) what each of you learned from the assigned readings (and case study) and (2) how you can apply what you learned in your particular situation/environment (work, church, sports teams, volunteer efforts, etc.) … it’s the personal learning and personal application that I want you to discuss and share with others in D2L Discussions.
Writing Assignment:
- Main Document: Using the information contained in the readings, videos, and discussions, define in your own words what Belonging means and discuss how Belonging contributes to team members’ flourishing and an excellent organization.
- Write a Reading Digest on each of this week’s readings.
