1. Foundations of Mental Health Concepts: I achieved this competency by actively engaging in course materials, readings, and discussions that focused on understanding the fundamental concepts of mental health. For example, I learned about the biopsychosocial model of mental health, which considers biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental illnesses. This new knowledge helped me comprehend the multifaceted nature of mental health and how various factors contribute to mental well-being or illness.

   Impact on Nursing Practice: Understanding the foundations of mental health concepts will enable me to provide holistic care to my patients.
