For this assignment you will craft an eight-slide PowerPoint® Presentation with the following content.

Slide 1: Title Slide

Slide 2: Norms

  • Define the concept of “norms” using a combination of the textbook and your personal understanding of the concept.
  • Identify at least two norms you have observed in your culture. Provide sufficient description to identify the expected behavior and the people to whom this expectation applies. (Note: Norms do not have to be universally agreed upon, just shared by a group of people.)

  • Define conflict theory using a combination of the textbook and your understanding of the concept.
  • Connect one example of a norm to the perspective of conflict theory.
    • Select one norm and identify how the norm is different in expectations or enforcement for different people based on social factors (e.g., gender, ethnicity, age, etc.).
    • You may use a norm from the previous slide or a new example.
