Is Emotional Abuse as Harmful as Physical and Sexual Abuse?

Papers must be a minimum of four pages; Title & Reference page do not count for page numbers and Abstract not required.  You must use APA Publication Manuel Seven for formatting.  For this assignment, locate three (3) editorial-length newspaper articles or popular magazine articles (not articles from peer-reviewed professional journals) that talk about emotional abuse and/or neglect of children. Attach copies of the articles to the assignment when you submit. Address the following questions in your article reviews and in using the textbook:  

1. How did the media handle this topic? Did it promote or debunk any of the myths of family violence?

2.If you were forced to base your opinions on just these three articles, what would be your conclusions about the accuracy of emotional abuse and/or neglect information in the written media? Explain. 

3. Comparing the articles to your Textbook and reading assignments, why is it difficult to identify, report and intervene with emotional abuse and/or neglect of children? 
4. What is one preventative measure that can be taken to lower the rates of emotional abuse and/or neglect in children and families? 
5. What supports can be offered to families to increase rates of reconciliation after an initial report or suspicion of emotional abuse and/or neglect?
