For the individual session you are reviewing,  items that you may wish to address in your paper might include:

(a) Discuss what theoretical orientation you notice with your peer. 

(b) Relationship building 

(c) Did they  display good attending and/or observation skills? 

(d) Gathering data – how did the counselor draw out stories, concerns, problems or issues? 

(e) Did any mutual goal setting occur? 

(f) Did any exploring of alternatives, confronting client incongruities and conflict or re-storying occur? 

(g) What impressed you with the way the counselor interacted with the client? 

(h) What might you have done differently or additionally? 

(i) INCLUDE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES so instructor can review the skills you reference in your reflection.
