Common Assessment/ Project Part D (Rubric D = 200 points) –

Explore Data and Strategies via Interview and Research Sources to Strengthen the Connection Between School and Families, as well as in Three Areas for School Improvement

Interview at least two individuals to gain insight into engaging families, school personnel, and students in strengthening learning, considering the diverse families represented in your school.  Think about racial make-up, family makeup, nationalities, languages spoken, religions, housing, job types/growth. 

Write a summary of the findings from the individuals you interviewed, AND include your assessment of how this information can be used to understand the school needs from an administrator’s perspective. 

Utilize at least 6 documents selected in Project Parts B and C of this course to write a summary of how the documents affect decision making relative to school improvement and improving the interaction between families and school personnel.

Scoring will be done during Unit 5 using Rubric D (NELP 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3)
