Definition: Define the purpose of the Board of Nursing, identified all board members and described the role of the officers and board members. (0-15 pts) Meeting or Agenda Items: Paper clearly provides a detailed account of your observations during the meeting OR discusses hearing agenda items from a previous BON meeting. ALSO choose two (2) position statements/advisories off the NH BON website pertaining to the RN scope of practice and explain why these practice issues are important for nurses (0-30 pts) Policy Examination: Paper addresses why it is critical to examine policy and lawmaking as a part of health care. (0-20 pts) Skills of Inquiry and Analysis: Paper demonstrated you used skills of inquiry, analysis and information literacy to address practice issues discussed at the meeting or hearing agenda items. (0-20 pts.) Formatting: Paper must be formatted using APA format. Mature writing style/organized thoughts should be used and the paper should be 3-5 pages in length. In addition, paper should be free of grammatical and spelling errors, and 3- 5 references are used and cited. (0-15 pts.) REMINDER: This paper must be completed in APA format with scholarly writing style. Seek out assistance from the writing center if you have not written a scholarly paper.
