Critically evaluate why and how a therapeutic intervention can meet the emotional needs of children: why this an effective treatment?  (2000 words).

This needs to explain to the reader which key themes you will be discussing in your essay. Write an impactful first paragraph, ensuring that there are.

You can do this in your opening paragraph by reflecting the title.

To answer the set question, state 3 reasons why your chosen intervention is an effective treatment option. You need to examine why they work well with children who have mental health issues, providing references for the literature to substantiate your discussion- this means you are providing good evidence.

You can also provide counter – arguments- what are the limitations to your choice of intervention- for example is there evidence from the literature that the intervention works most of the time and for children where it is not effective – why?

You can also add international examples of other countries who use this intervention and what cultural issues are addressed when your chosen intervention is used.

Conclusion:  

This is an opportunity to summarise and reflect on your key arguments.

Don’t just repeat earlier comments. You need to summarise these and point out what would be worth further study.
