Clinical Resource Document The written assessment will be 2500 (max) word Clinical Resource Document (CRD). The purpose of the CRD is to develop an education/information resource for a newly graduated registered nurse working in your speciality clinical area. The resource should have an aspect of orientation to the area and should also include current resources and information that would enhance the registered nurses’ knowledge base with a focus on evidence-based practice. 

The CRD will aim to meet the needs of a new graduate nurse working in any one of the following areas of paediatric specialisation:

  1.  Neurology,
  2.  Gastroenterology, or
  3.  Respiratory.

 

You will be required to develop the resource using both policies and guidelines as well as peer-reviewed research papers. 

The clinical resource portfolio will have six areas of content to meet the needs of the education portfolio. The content areas may focus on patient initiatives, care plans, legal responsibilities, current research and education, policies and procedures, best practice for a specific topic or care, fact sheets, principles of management. These will differ according to the topic you choose. The marking rubric found here will be used to assess the CRD. 

For this assessment 8-10 references will be adequate. References must be acknowledged appropriately and systematically using APA 6th referencing. Headings will be allowed.
