· Describe the inductive approach to research

· Describe the deductive approach to research

· Describe the various types of scientific research

· Of these types of scientific research, which ones would be considered inductive and which ones would be considered deductive?  Why? 

· Imagine that you are going to begin designing a research project.  Describe how you would do so from each of the various types of scientific research.
