Assess and reflect upon your current understanding of important knowledge and skills needed in the teaching profession by completing the assessment surveys and addressing specific areas for further development. For this assignment:
1. Complete the surveys; one of which is a 30 question self-analysis and the other a matrix of your understanding of diverse classrooms.
2. Find 5 areas that you selected "no", "undecided", or "low". If you did not assess yourself accordingly in 5 areas, select 5 areas to address. Do not feel compelled to select "yes" or "high" on each survey item. You are not expected to have a high level of understanding of the majority of these characteristics at this early point in your teacher preparation.
3. Write a 7 paragraph paper: 1 paragraph introduction including a thesis statement of the 5 areas you will address; body of 5 paragraphs discussing the 5 areas that you selected (1 paragraph per area), address how you will obtain more knowledge/development or why you selected "no", "undecided", or "low"; and a 1 paragraph conclusion.
