Through this project, you will
• apply statistical techniques learned in the course including data collection, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics,
• practice communicating in writing statistical results using technology as appropriate to produce a professional looking report.
Choosing a topic
You will choose a research question that you will try to answer through statistical methods. To answer this question, you will need to design a survey or experiment to gather data, to organize and summarize the data using descriptive statistics methods, and finally draw conclusions using inferential statistics methods. Requirements about the research question are the following:
• It must refer to a single population that will be explored in the study.
• It must identify the population under study clearly.
• The main research question should be about one or more quantitative variables.
• You must be able to collect data necessary to answer the research question. (At least 30 data observations will need to be collected from your population under study)
